1. About These Terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to the Creative Imagination Organiser website, customer accounts, purchases and subscriptions. Software use is also subject to the separate Software Licence.

Creative Imagination Organiser (CIO) is created and operated by Jonathan Lloyd trading as Creative Imagination Organiser. The main website is creativeimagination.global.

2. CIO Editions and Availability

CIO is being developed as a family of organiser editions. The website currently describes CIO Free Basic and CIO Advanced, with CIO Gold and CIO Business planned for later release.

Windows and Ubuntu are currently supported. A macOS edition is planned. Features described as planned, coming soon, beta, experimental or in development are not guaranteed to be available until they are actually released.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your sign-in details secure and telling us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Account and licence services are separate from the private organiser information stored locally in CIO by default.

4. CIO Advanced Price and Renewal

CIO Advanced is £23.50 per year. The price and renewal terms shown at checkout before you order are the terms that apply to that transaction.

CIO Advanced is an annual subscription unless a different licence is expressly offered. It can be used on up to two supported personal computers under one licence.

Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not normally remove access already paid for before the end of the current paid period.

If a recurring price is changed, the new price will be communicated before it applies to a future renewal, with the date of the change and the available cancellation route made clear.

5. Ordering and Payment

An order is not complete until the checkout process confirms payment and the relevant entitlement or licence is created. Payment processing may be provided by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout.

Before an online order is placed, the checkout will show the product, price, subscription and renewal information that applies and will make clear that placing the order creates an obligation to pay.

After an order is placed, the contract and required pre-contract information will be confirmed in a form you can keep, such as an email.

CIO does not need to receive or store your full payment-card details in order to administer your software licence.

6. Digital Downloads and Cancellation Rights

Consumer cancellation rights depend on what is supplied and when digital supply begins. These Terms do not remove any cancellation right that the law gives you.

Where downloadable CIO software is to be supplied immediately, the checkout must obtain your express agreement for the download to begin during the 14-day cancellation period and your acknowledgement that, once the download begins following that agreement, you will lose the statutory right to cancel that digital-content supply.

The contract confirmation must record the required information about that agreement and acknowledgement. If the required consent, acknowledgement or information has not been provided, your statutory cancellation rights are not removed by wording in these Terms.

7. Faulty Digital Content and Refunds

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet legal requirements.

If you believe CIO is faulty or you have a payment, download or licence problem, contact us with enough information to investigate it. Any voluntary refund policy is additional to, and does not replace, statutory rights.

8. Software Licence and Device Use

Your right to install and use CIO is governed by the Software Licence and the edition or entitlement attached to your account.

CIO Free Basic and CIO Advanced may use signed licence activation and device binding to apply the supported device limit. Each can be used on up to two supported personal computers. You should use the available deactivation process before moving a licence from an old computer where reasonably possible.

9. Cancellation, Expiry and Downgrade

If a CIO Advanced subscription ends, the Advanced entitlement falls back to CIO Free Basic. CIO is designed so that this change does not delete your organiser information.

Existing information remains available for viewing, export and backup. Free Basic limits apply to creating additional items, and Advanced-only capabilities are no longer available unless the Advanced entitlement is restored.

10. Updates and Continuing Development

CIO may be updated to fix faults, improve security, add features or maintain compatibility. Some updates may require internet access for entitlement or update checks.

Planned features and development roadmaps are statements of current intention, not promises that every feature will be released on a particular date.

11. Beta and Preview Software

Beta or preview versions are provided for testing and may contain unfinished features, defects or changes that are not present in a normal release. Important information should be backed up before testing pre-release software.

12. Acceptable Use

You must not use the website, account system, download system or licence system unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with service operation, defeat reasonable security or licensing controls, or use the service to harm other people or systems.

13. Intellectual Property

CIO software, branding, website content and associated materials are protected by intellectual-property rights. Buying or downloading CIO gives you the licence rights expressly stated; it does not transfer ownership of the software or brand.

14. Service Availability

Reasonable efforts are made to keep website, account, licensing and download services available, but uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, faults, security incidents or circumstances outside reasonable control may temporarily affect access.

15. Liability and Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, and nothing removes mandatory consumer rights.

Subject to those rights, CIO is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made or for losses caused by matters outside reasonable control. You remain responsible for maintaining sensible backups of important local organiser information.

16. Privacy

The separate Privacy Policy explains how website, account, licence, payment and support information is handled and how that differs from organiser information stored locally by default.

17. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated where the product, law or services change. Material changes affecting an existing paid subscription will be communicated appropriately and will not remove mandatory rights already provided by law.

18. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are intended to operate under the laws applicable to the CIO seller in the United Kingdom, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
