CIO Grows With You
CIO is built as a growing organiser rather than a collection of disconnected apps.
Start with notes, plans, lists and statistics. As CIO develops, calendars, reminders, accounting, databases, calculations, secure storage, communication and other tools can become part of the same organised environment.
The aim is simple: fewer separate programs, fewer scattered pieces of information and more of your life and work organised in one place.
Your Information Stays Under Your Control
CIO is designed around privacy.
Your private organiser information is stored locally on your computer by default. CIO does not need to upload your notes, Categories, Statistics or other organiser information just so you can use the program.
Account, licence and billing information required to provide CIO services is separate from your private organiser content.
Future connected features such as secure synchronisation, messaging and sharing will be designed with privacy and encryption at their core.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is CIO Free Basic really free?
Yes. CIO Free Basic is designed to remain genuinely useful and free to use after setup. It has limits on the number of Categories, Subcategories and Statistics you can create, but it is not a short-term trial.
What is the difference between Free Basic and Advanced?
Advanced removes the organiser limits and is the edition being expanded with CIO’s broader personal organisation features, including calendars, reminders, tasks, databases, personal accounting and more.
What happens if I upgrade later?
Your existing CIO information remains yours. The aim is for upgrading to unlock additional capabilities rather than requiring you to start your organiser again.
Can I use CIO on more than one computer?
CIO Free Basic and CIO Advanced can each be used on up to two supported personal computers.
Which operating systems does CIO support?
Windows and Ubuntu are supported. A macOS edition is planned for the future.
What are CIO Gold and CIO Business?
They are future editions. Gold will add greater privacy, power, secure connection and sharing. Business will build on Gold with business information, people, teamwork and bookkeeping capabilities.
Does CIO upload my private information?
Your private organiser information is designed to remain local to your computer by default. Connected services that are added later will be clearly identified.
